My name is Anamul Hasan. I am a teacher, Master Trainer, and school principal with experience in education and community-based teaching. As an RAR Institute student, I am committed to continuous learning, academic development, and improving my knowledge and skills through research. My experience in education has encouraged me to continue developing myself academically so that I can become a more effective educator, researcher, and contributor to my community.

My Student ID is RAR-523081, and I am currently a Semester 3 Research Learner at RAR Institute.

My studies have focused on developing my understanding of research methodology, academic writing, research practices, academic sources, and critical thinking.

3. What is your educational background before joining RAR Institute?

I completed my Matriculation in Myanmar in 2016. After completing my formal education, I began working in the field of education. I have worked as a high-school teacher and community-based high-school principal, experiences that provided me with valuable practical knowledge in teaching, school management, student support, and educational leadership. My professional experience in education motivated me to strengthen my academic and research knowledge.

4. When did you join RAR Institute, and what motivated you to begin your studies?

I joined RAR Institute in February 2025. After working in education for several years, I wanted to continue my academic development and improve my research, academic writing, and analytical skills. I was particularly interested in learning how to conduct research systematically and how to use academic evidence to better understand educational and social issues. RAR Institute provided me with an opportunity to continue learning while building on my existing professional experience in education.

5. What were your academic knowledge, confidence, and skills like before joining RAR Institute?

Before joining RAR Institute, I had considerable practical experience as a teacher and school principal. However, I felt that I needed to strengthen my formal academic knowledge, particularly in academic writing, research methodology, referencing, and analytical thinking. Although I was confident in my professional responsibilities, I wanted to become more confident in academic research and develop the ability to approach educational issues from a research-based perspective.

6. What challenges did you face when you first started your studies at RAR Institute?

One of my biggest challenges was balancing my studies with my professional responsibilities as a teacher, Master Trainer, and school principal. I also needed time to become more comfortable with academic writing, research methodology, proper referencing, and the expectations of academic work. However, through regular study, practice, instructor guidance, and personal commitment, I gradually became more comfortable with these areas.

7. How have your academic confidence and participation developed since joining RAR Institute?

Since joining RAR Institute, my academic confidence has improved significantly. I now feel more comfortable sharing my ideas, participating in academic discussions, asking questions, and presenting my work. I have also become more willing to examine different perspectives and engage with academic topics through evidence and research. This increased confidence has positively influenced both my academic learning and my professional development as an educator.

8. What important knowledge and skills have you gained from your research studies?

Through my research studies, I have learned how to conduct research more systematically, search for and use academic sources, organize academic information, write academically, and develop ideas based on evidence. I have also developed a stronger understanding of research methodology and learned how different research methods can be used to investigate academic and social questions.

9. How has the programme improved your understanding of research methodology and academic research?

The programme has given me a much clearer understanding of how to develop a research topic, formulate research questions, identify appropriate information, analyze evidence, and present findings in a structured way. I have learned that research requires careful planning, appropriate methodology, reliable evidence, and responsible analysis. This understanding has strengthened my ability to approach research more systematically.

10. How has your academic writing, referencing, critical thinking, and research skills developed?

My academic writing has become clearer, more organized, and more structured. I have also become more careful about using evidence, selecting appropriate references, and developing arguments based on reliable information. My critical-thinking skills have improved because I now try to examine information more carefully rather than accepting ideas without considering their evidence and context.

11. How has your ability to search for, evaluate, and use academic sources improved?

I have learned how to search for relevant academic sources and consider their credibility, relevance, and usefulness before using them in my academic work. Previously, I focused mainly on finding information. Through my research studies, I have learned that it is equally important to evaluate the quality of information and determine whether a source is appropriate for academic purposes.

Assignments, presentations, examinations, research projects, and classroom activities have helped me apply what I learn in practical ways. They have taught me how to manage my time, organize academic work, communicate my ideas clearly, respond to feedback, and work both independently and collaboratively. These activities have also strengthened my confidence in presenting and discussing academic topics.

My research studies have taught me that good research requires clear questions, reliable evidence, appropriate methods, ethical practices, and honest analysis. I have developed a greater appreciation for the importance of accuracy and responsibility in academic research. I now understand that research should not simply present information but should carefully examine evidence and develop conclusions through an appropriate research process.

My studies have encouraged me to look at educational and social issues from different perspectives. I have learned to examine issues through evidence rather than assumptions and to consider the wider context in which problems occur. This has helped me connect my professional experience in education with academic approaches to understanding society, education, and current issues.

Their feedback has also encouraged me to identify areas for improvement and continue developing as an independent learner.

Research Methodology has had a particularly strong impact on my academic development. The course helped me understand how to transform an idea or area of interest into a structured research topic. It also helped me understand the importance of research questions, appropriate methods, evidence, analysis, and systematic research procedures. This knowledge has been especially valuable to me because of my professional background in education and my interest in becoming a stronger educator and researcher.

17. How have your communication, presentation, public-speaking, teamwork, and leadership skills improved?

Through presentations, group activities, discussions, and collaborative academic work, I have become more confident in speaking, sharing ideas, listening to others, and working collaboratively. My professional experience as a teacher, Master Trainer, and school principal had already provided me with experience in communication and leadership. My studies at RAR Institute have complemented this experience by strengthening my academic communication and presentation skills. I have also developed a stronger understanding of responsibility, cooperation, and constructive participation in academic environments.

18. What major academic achievement, milestone, or personal improvement have you experienced since joining RAR Institute?

Reaching Semester 3 is an important milestone in my academic journey at RAR Institute. Another meaningful achievement has been being selected twice among the Top Ten Students at RAR Institute and receiving Appreciation Letters in recognition of my academic performance. This recognition has encouraged me to continue improving my academic abilities and has strengthened my motivation to remain committed to my studies.

19. How has your education at RAR Institute influenced your future academic, career, and community goals?

My education at RAR Institute has encouraged me to continue developing myself academically and professionally. As an educator, I want to strengthen my knowledge of research and use evidence-based approaches in my teaching and educational work. I also hope to continue my higher education and develop further as an educator and researcher. In the future, I hope to use the knowledge and skills I gain through education and research to contribute positively to my students, educational institutions, and wider community.

Looking back from the time I joined RAR Institute until today, I would describe my journey as one of steady academic, personal, and professional growth.

RAR Institute has helped me build on my existing experience as a teacher, Master Trainer, and school principal while developing stronger skills in research, academic writing, critical thinking, academic communication, and evidence-based learning. I have become more confident in understanding research concepts, participating in academic discussions, presenting my ideas, and approaching educational and social issues from different perspectives. My journey is still continuing, and I believe there is much more to learn and develop. I hope to continue strengthening my academic abilities, complete my studies successfully, pursue further educational opportunities, and use my knowledge and experience to contribute meaningfully to education and my community.

My Academic Journey at RAR Institute

My academic journey at the Rohingya Academic Research Institute (RAR-Institute) began in February 2025. Before joining RAR Institute, I had already developed several years of professional experience in education as a teacher, Master Trainer, and school principal. Although this experience gave me practical knowledge and confidence in teaching and educational leadership, I recognized the importance of strengthening my academic and research abilities. I joined RAR Institute because I wanted to continue my education and develop a stronger understanding of research methodology, academic writing, critical thinking, and evidence-based learning. I believed that improving these skills would not only benefit me as a student but also strengthen my work as an educator.

When I first started my studies, one of my main challenges was balancing academic responsibilities with my professional work. As a teacher, Master Trainer, and school principal, I have responsibilities that require time, attention, and commitment. At the same time, academic research required me to develop new skills, particularly in academic writing, referencing, research methodology, and analytical thinking. Through continuous effort, practice, and guidance from my instructors, I gradually became more comfortable with these academic requirements. I learned how to organize my ideas more effectively, search for appropriate academic sources, evaluate their credibility, and use evidence to support my academic work.

One of the most important areas of my development has been my understanding of research methodology. I learned how to transform an idea into a research topic, formulate research questions, identify appropriate information, consider suitable research methods, analyze evidence, and present findings in a structured manner. My academic activities have also contributed significantly to my development. Assignments, presentations, examinations, classroom discussions, and research activities have given me opportunities to apply what I have learned. These experiences have strengthened my academic communication, presentation, time-management, teamwork, and independent-learning skills.

The guidance and feedback provided by RAR Institute instructors have also been an important part of my journey. Their explanations and constructive feedback helped me understand difficult concepts and improve my academic work. Their encouragement has motivated me to participate more actively and continue developing my abilities. A particularly meaningful milestone in my journey has been reaching Semester 3. I have also been selected twice among the Top Ten Students at RAR Institute and received Appreciation Letters recognizing my academic performance.
