Q1. How would you introduce yourself as a student of RAR Institute?

Answer:
My name is Yasin Arfat, and I am a student of the Rohingya Academic Research Institute, currently pursuing an Associate Degree in Political Science. I am interested in understanding politics, society, governance, international relations, human rights, and community development. As a student, I am committed to learning, improving my academic abilities, and becoming more confident and responsible in my studies.

Answer:
My Student ID is RAR-AD-202627, and I am studying the Associate Degree in Political Science at RAR Institute. I chose Political Science because it provides knowledge about government, political institutions, governance, citizenship, leadership, political systems, and international relations. The program is helping me develop a foundation for further academic and professional development.

Q3. What was your educational background before joining RAR Institute?

Answer:
Before joining RAR Institute, I completed my education up to Class 10 under the Myanmar curriculum through the Rohingya Education Development Association (REDA) High School. My previous education provided me with foundational knowledge and basic academic skills. It also encouraged me to continue learning and seek opportunities for higher-level education.

Q4. When did you join RAR Institute, and what motivated you to begin your studies?

Answer:
I joined RAR Institute in May 2026. My main motivation was to continue my education and develop a deeper understanding of political and social issues. I was particularly interested in Political Science because it helps explain the relationship between people, governments, institutions, leadership, rights, and society. I also wanted to improve my communication, writing, presentation, critical-thinking, and independent-learning skills.

Q5. What were your academic confidence and skills like before joining RAR Institute?

Answer:
Before joining RAR Institute, I had a basic academic foundation and a strong interest in learning. However, I wanted more opportunities to participate in academic discussions, prepare assignments, give presentations, and develop analytical skills. I was not always confident when expressing my ideas. Joining RAR Institute gave me an opportunity to improve through practice, participation, instructor guidance, and regular academic work.

Q6. What challenges did you face when you first started your studies?

Answer:
When I first started my studies, I needed to adjust to a more structured academic environment. Some Political Science concepts required careful reading and reflection, while academic assignments required better organization and time management. I also needed to become more comfortable participating in discussions and expressing my ideas clearly. Through regular study, practice, questions, and feedback from instructors, I gradually became more comfortable with these challenges.

Answer:
My academic confidence has gradually improved through classroom participation, assignments, presentations, and regular practice. I am now more willing to ask questions, share my ideas, participate in discussions, and explain what I have learned. I have also learned the importance of listening to different viewpoints respectfully. My experience has shown me that confidence develops through preparation, consistent effort, and learning from feedback.

Answer:
My studies have introduced me to important concepts such as government, the state, political institutions, democracy, citizenship, power, governance, society, and international relations. These abilities are helping me approach academic and social issues more carefully and systematically.

Answer:
My studies have helped me understand the importance of evidence when examining political and social issues. I am learning how to ask meaningful questions, search for relevant information, compare different perspectives, and use reliable evidence to support academic arguments. I have also learned that personal opinions should be distinguished from evidence-based academic explanations.

Answer:
My academic writing and critical-thinking skills have developed through assignments, readings, classroom discussions, and presentations. I am learning how to organize ideas logically, explain arguments clearly, use supporting information, and develop appropriate conclusions. I also try to consider different perspectives and possible causes before forming an academic interpretation. This has made my work more organized and thoughtful.

Answer:
I have become more careful and systematic when searching for academic information. I am learning to consider the relevance, reliability, accuracy, currency, and purpose of a source before using it. Answer:

Answer:
Political Science has encouraged me to examine current issues more carefully and avoid making immediate conclusions without considering the wider context. My studies have therefore encouraged me to approach current affairs with greater attention to evidence and context.

A JOURNEY OF GROWTH AT RAR INSTITUTE

My journey at the Rohingya Academic Research Institute has been an important part of my educational development. When I joined the Associate Degree in Political Science, I wanted to continue my education, strengthen my knowledge, and become more confident in academic learning. Through my studies, I have gradually developed a deeper understanding of politics, governance, society, international relations, human rights, and community development. At the same time, my participation in assignments, presentations, discussions, examinations, and other academic activities has helped me improve my communication, academic writing, critical thinking, teamwork, research awareness, and time-management skills.

One of the most valuable parts of my experience has been learning to listen to different perspectives and think more carefully before reaching conclusions. I have also learned that academic progress requires patience, regular practice, discipline, and a willingness to learn from mistakes and feedback.
