The RAR Institute is pleased to announce that Dr. Pelekeh H. Tapang, Ph.D. in Political Science and Public Administration, will lead the second-week session of the Refugee Law Short Program on the topic:
“The Rights of Refugees”

Dr. Tapang is the Chairman of the American Political Science Association’s Human Rights Section Best Research Paper Award and a Board Member of the International Political Science Association’s Research Committee 46.
In this session, Dr. Tapang will provide an in-depth exploration of refugee protection, human rights, and statelessness. Drawing on his extensive academic and professional experience, he will analyze key international legal frameworks governing refugee rights and humanitarian principles, with a particular emphasis on the Rohingya experience.
This lecture aims to deepen participants’ understanding of global refugee challenges, while inspiring informed advocacy, ethical leadership, and commitment to justice and human dignity.
All learners are strongly encouraged to attend and actively participate in this important session.
