We are honored to welcome Dr. Aslam Abd Jalil, a distinguished Malaysian scholar, as the next featured speaker in the RAR-Institute Research Program Series.
We are pleased to invite him to present on this vital topic “ Introduction to Social Research: Methods, Ethics and Community Impact”.
Dr. Aslam is a Senior Lecturer at the International Institute of Public Policy and Management (INPUMA), Universiti Malaya, where he also earned his Master of Public Policy. He holds a PhD in Anthropology and Policy from The University of Queensland, with a research focus on refugee labour migration in Malaysia. Since 2015, Dr. Aslam has been actively engaged with the Rohingya community, contributing to both academic and grassroots initiatives.
This session will equip our Rohingya research learners with foundational research tools and ethical approaches to help them document their community experiences and advocate effectively through credible, community-based research.
