RAR Institute Secretary General Delivers Keynote Address at Refugee Law Program Certificate Ceremony
Mr. Kaiser Komor, Secretary General of RAR Institute, delivered an impactful and forward-looking speech at the Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the Refugee Law Program (Short Course), emphasizing the Institute’s journey, vision, and growing global recognition.
In his address, Mr. Komor reflected on the establishment of RAR Institute in 2022, highlighting its historic significance as the first academic research institute founded within the Rohingya community. He underscored the Institute’s unwavering commitment to advancing academic research, quality education, leadership development, and justice, with a strong focus on empowering Rohingya youths through knowledge and skills.
Mr. Komor proudly announced RAR Institute’s received of the Global Education Award 2025 for Excellence in Educational Leadership and Community Development, presented by the Global Education Conclave, powered by the International Education Accreditation Council (IEAC). He described the award as a historic milestone that reflects the Institute’s expanding global recognition and credibility in the field of education and community development.
During his speech, Mr. Komor outlined the core pillars of RAR Institute, including its mission to promote knowledge, justice, and community empowerment through research, education, advocacy, and community engagement. He shared the Institute’s long-term vision of enabling Rohingya youths to contribute meaningfully to sustainable solutions, global scholarship, and community development.
He further highlighted RAR Institute’s key areas of work—Research, Education, Advocacy, and Community Support—and provided an overview of its ongoing academic initiatives. These include the Two-Year Diploma Program, various skill-based short courses, and future plans to introduce Bachelor’s degree programs and expand academic offerings.
Mr. Komor also acknowledged the Institute’s strong academic leadership under Mr. Kaisayr Husein, Chair and Executive Director and PhD Scholar in Education and International Relations, supported by a network of experienced professors and scholars from around the world. He expressed sincere appreciation for the dedication and contributions of the Executive Leadership Council, Advisory Board, supportive members, and the entire RAR Institute team.
The speech concluded with a powerful message reaffirming RAR Institute’s collective commitment to education, rights awareness, and capacity building, reinforcing its role as a leading academic and advocacy institution serving the Rohingya community
