RAR Institute – Refugee Law Short Course Certificate Award Ceremony

The RAR Institute Refugee Law Short Course Certificate Award Ceremony marked a significant milestone in the Institute’s ongoing efforts to promote legal awareness, education, and leadership within the Rohingya community. The ceremony brought together students, educators, advisors, and community leaders to celebrate the successful completion of the program and to reaffirm the transformative power of education.

A highlight of the event was a powerful and inspiring address delivered by Mr. Monjur Isalam, a respected member of the RAR Institute Advisory Board. In his speech on the Importance of Education for the Rohingya Community, Mr. Isalam emphasized that education is not only a pathway to personal growth but also a vital tool for collective empowerment, dignity, and long-term resilience.

Mr. Isalam reflected on the historical challenges faced by the Rohingya people, including displacement, statelessness, and limited access to formal education. He stressed that, in such circumstances, education becomes an act of resistance and hope—enabling individuals to understand their rights, advocate for justice, and participate meaningfully in community decision-making. He highlighted refugee law education as particularly crucial, as it equips learners with the knowledge to navigate legal systems, protect their rights, and support others within their communities.

He further praised RAR Institute for its pioneering role in establishing accessible, community-centered academic programs. According to Mr. Isalam, initiatives such as the Refugee Law Short Course are helping to nurture a new generation of informed, responsible, and ethical leaders who can contribute to sustainable solutions for the Rohingya community.

In concluding his remarks, Mr. Isalam encouraged students to view their certificates not as an end, but as the beginning of a greater responsibility to serve their community through knowledge, integrity, and action. His message deeply resonated with participants and reinforced RAR Institute’s mission to advance education, justice, and capacity building.
