Mr. Anis Khan delivered an insightful and motivating speech to Rohingya students and the community
Mr. Anis Khan delivered an insightful and motivating speech to Rohingya students and the community during the Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the Refugee Law Program (Short Course). His messages strongly emphasized the importance of skills building for Rohingya youths across different fields.
Mr. Anis Khan emphasized that skills building is essential for empowering Rohingya youths to overcome current challenges and prepare for future opportunities. He highlighted that academic knowledge alone is not sufficient; practical skills in areas such as legal awareness, research, communication, leadership, technology, and vocational fields are equally important for personal and community development.
He encouraged Rohingya youths to invest in continuous learning and capacity building despite the limitations faced in refugee settings. Mr. Anis said that developing diverse skills enables youths to contribute meaningfully to their community, advocate for their rights effectively, and engage confidently with national and international platforms.
He also appreciated initiatives like the Refugee Law Program (Short Course), a one-month course provided by the Rohingya Academic Research Institute, noting that such programs equip youths with critical legal understanding and practical skills needed to support their community and promote justice. He concluded by urging students to use their acquired knowledge responsibly, share it with others, and remain committed to self-improvement and collective progress.
