๐ RAR Institute Monthly Workshop & Practical Training โ Building Future Researchers and Leaders
Today, RAR Institute conducted another successful Monthly Workshop and Practical Training under the theme โAcademic Research Skills and Ethics.โ This workshop was led by the RAR Graduate and Guide Team, who demonstrated outstanding commitment to helping learners build solid research foundations through interactive learning, teamwork, and critical discussions.
The session began with an engaging ice-breaking activity, allowing participants to connect with one another, share their academic goals, and reflect on why research matters for community transformation.
Learners explored questions such as โWhat is research?โ and โWhy do we need research for our society?โ
These activities created an atmosphere of curiosity and motivation.
The workshop covered key research components including research outline, abstract, introduction, methodology, citation, literature review, data collection, analysis, and discussion writing. Each topic was explained with real examples from education, social sciences, and refugee community contexts.
Learners practiced identifying qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method approaches through guided exercises.
Participants also explored ethical research practices, emphasizing the importance of informed consent, data privacy, and academic honesty.
The team explained how avoiding plagiarism is a mark of respect for intellectual integrity and how every ethical researcher must protect participantsโ rights and confidentiality.
During group work, learners analyzed sample data and learned about tools such as SPSS, NVivo, and Excel for data interpretation.
They discussed the differences between methodology and method, developed small sample outlines, and presented their findings with confidence. This activity helped build analytical and presentation skills.
A special highlight was the discussion on Rohingya research topics, including โThe Root Causes of the Rohingya Crisisโ and โCountries Where Rohingya Communities Live.โ These sessions encouraged critical thinking and inspired participants to design future research projects that can advocate for peace, justice, and human rights.
The RAR Institute Graduate and Guide Team emphasized that research is not only an academic process but also a tool for social change. They guided learners to connect theory with practice, showing how evidence-based research can support community development, refugee education, and policy improvement.
At the end of the session, RAR Institute Research Guidebooks were officially distributed to students enrolled in the Two-Year Academic Diploma Program. The guidebook provides comprehensive direction on research design, data analysis, and ethical standards โ a valuable resource for every aspiring researcher.
These monthly workshops reflect RAR Instituteโs long-term vision to empower Rohingya youth through education, critical thinking, and leadership development. Every session aims to transform learners into professionals who can represent their community with knowledge, confidence, and global awareness.
RAR Institute expresses heartfelt appreciation to all facilitators, learners, and supporters who make this educational journey possible. Together, we are nurturing a generation of ethical scholars and responsible citizens building not only knowledge but also hope for a peaceful and inclusive future.
